Odyssey White Ice Teron Putter Review

Is the Odyssey Putter Set For Greatness?

The fashion for star ship based design doesn’t let up in the new Odyssey White Ice Teron Putter. But whatever you may personally think of the design, I would urge anyone with a spare half hour to take one of these style of putters onto the practice putting green, because they sure feel nice.

Having just watched Darren Clarke famously win the British Open, and Luke Donald rise to No1 in the world rankings, I can’t help feel both of these players seem to have developed a putting stroke from the gods in recent weeks.

Luke’s always been fantastic tee to green, but his putting this year has been way better than I’ve ever before. Darren may also owe a debt to Bob Rotella the famous golf psychologist who seemed to help him find that elusive “zone”. But whichever way I look at both these deserving individuals I keep coming back to their heroics on the greens, and wondering whether I could buy myself a way of shaving a couple of strokes off per round?

My of The

Odyssey White Ice Teron Putter Review golf The look of the Odyssey White Ice Teron Putter at first glance is a little “fussy” for my personal liking. I do prefer the simplicity of a Ping Anser style design, but there is logic behind the styling of the Odyssey White Ice Teron Putter, it’s not the creation of an over eager engineer with a new CAD design system. I can’t really remember what the Star ship Enterprise really looked like, but I think it has a strong resemblance to the Odyssey White Ice Teron Putter however the bridge area of the putter and the two peripheral engines (weighted perimeter wings)all combine to aid alignment in a way that was very pleasing to my eye (triangulated Hi-Def alignment to use the marketing speak).

The grip fitted on the Odyssey White Ice Teron Putter is tacky and instantly conveyed confidence, but what I really liked is the fact that all this peripheral weighting felt really good. I wish I could find better words to describe it, but with the large footprint of the Odyssey White Ice Teron Putter I just naturally fell into a slower, longer, smoother stroke than my normal “lets get it over with” style.Odyssey White Ice Teron Putter Review Top Front View golf

The putting green performance was very encouraging indeed, and I cannot now wait to try out the Odyssey White Ice Teron Putter this coming weekend. Though I could be setting myself up for a fall, I do feel there is something in all the design tech associated with the Odyssey White Ice Teron Putter, though my garage is full of products that marketers have successfully sold me on “hope”.
