Orlimar Golf ATS 2011 White Driver 10.5* Graphite – With the golfing gods controlling what can and can’t be done in golf ball / club design, the big company marketing teams have been scratching their heads over what dreams they can sell us.

Drive heads have maxed out at 460cc and so we have had to reshape them with both tear drop, and square designs becoming very popular. The latest innovation (not sure this is the right word) is the white headed driver, which was pioneered by Taylor made and for me was first seen in the hands of Ian Poulter (never one to shy away from a style statement).

However can simply changing the head color be such an innovation?

I really am doing TaylorMade a disservice with this statement because in the TaylorMade R11 they have added a ton of technical capability as well, you can change the face angle and shaft with complete ease, and with the right advise should be able to find yourself the perfect combo for your particular game.

However this flexibility comes at some price, and this article is about reviewing the Orlimar Golf ATS 2011 White Driver 10.5* Graphite, which can be bought today off Ebay for way under $100 bucks!

I personally am yet to test out the Orlimar Golf ATS 2011 White Driver 10.5* Graphite, and may even take a gamble without trying it (yes; I do have a garage full of crap!), I tried the R11 but didn’t like the shaft, weight combo, hated the price, but loved the look of the head behind the ball at address.

I’ve seen this driver for about $60 buy it now from Ebay, and I read a lot of reviews that position Orlimar Golf as a quality manufacturer, but without the hype of the big guys.

My favorite driver ever was an old Ryder persimmon which wasn’t a top tier brand at the time, but with a new shaft and grip outperformed my Macgregor at a fraction the cost.

My current Titleist D2 is a great driver, but I do fancy a change after 2 years, and even if I had to re shaft the Orlimar Golf ATS 2011 White Driver 10.5* Graphite the whole exercise wouldn’t cost a fortune.

I could probably even justify it to my wife!
